Strategic Planning and Change Management

Client: State government organisation

A complex government organisation was having trouble progressing and coordinating the initiatives under their strategic plan. The organisation engaged Nexus to design a process to engage with the leads of the various initiatives to improve implementation and coordination of the strategic plan, whilst managing day-to-day responsibilities. This involved extensive consultation with the initiative leads as well as a diagnostic survey that revealed a lack of change readiness in the organisation.

Nexus facilitated two workshops with the initiative leads to provide the staff with the necessary skills, frameworks and tools to effectively lead their strategic initiatives while simultaneously managing businesses as usual activities. The project resulted in a clear approach for the organisation to take forward, involving a roadmap which prioritised initiatives, and an organisation-wide communication approach.
