Review of government agencies
We have led many reviews of the structure of government agencies, from reviews of the whole of central office (e.g. the Ministry of Health) to head office divisions and individual units, including finance, HR and ministerial correspondence units. Our clients have included many agencies across the NSW government clusters: Department of Premier and Cabinet, NSW Health, Department of Finance, Services and Innovation, Department of Family and Community Services, Department of Education.
Non-government organisation reviews
Nexus has led a number of structure and strategy reviews for not-for-profit organisations including Hepatitis NSW, Family Planning NSW, NUAA and Northcott Disability Services.
Responsible Gambling Fund review
Nexus led a strategic review of the NSW Responsible Gambling Fund, which receives money from the revenue of the Sydney Casino. The review led to a shift in the allocation of the funding and reform of the gambling counselling program.
Models of health care
Nexus has led consultations with clinicians and consumers to develop new models of care for brain injury rehabilitation and spinal injury services.
Community sharps management
Nexus led a major review of the NSW Health program to reduce inappropriate disposal of community sharps – needles and syringes used by injecting drug users and people with certain medical conditions. The review led to changes in the governance and operations of the program.
