Client: PHN Central and Eastern Sydney
Nexus was commissioned by three primary health networks (PHNs) to evaluate innovative telehealth psychiatry services commissioned by the PHNs.
The evaluation involved mixed methods including analysis of administrative data, client surveys and a series of interviews with key stakeholders including clinicians, health service managers and community service providers.
The evaluation analysed the service outcomes and recommended a new service model encompassing:
- a thorough co-design process involving consumers, clinicians and the PHNs
- reforms to the funding and performance reporting arrangements.
