Network of Australian Universities – Workshop facilitation

The work:

The NSW government has provided seeding funding for the establishment of the NSW Smart Sensing Network (NSSN), involving an initial collaboration between the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales. The NSSN was founded on the premise that the economy and people of New South Wales face key challenges in energy, resources, manufacturing, the environment, transport, agriculture, space and health that cutting-edge research in smart sensing could play a critical role in solving.

Nexus was engaged by the two universities to design, facilitate and report on a workshop with senior representatives of other universities to attract new members to the network and to identify possible collaboration priorities and projects.

Following the initial workshop, the NSSN now has expanded to six university members and has initiated a number of new collaborative projects using smart sensing technology applications.
