Client: CareSeekers
CareSeekers is an innovative organisation that aims to place care and support workers who match the unique needs of individual people across the aged care, disability and mental health sectors. In 2023, CareSeekers received funding to establish a pilot program that supports women from disadvantaged backgrounds to obtain and sustain aged care and disability support work.
Nexus was commissioned to conduct an independent evaluation of the pilot. The evaluation included input from the women who participated in the pilot via surveys and a focus group along with extensive consultations with other stakeholders, including referring organisations and the organisation engaged by CareSeekers to provide registered training.
The evaluation assessed the pilot program’s employment outcome and the extent of achievement of other targets in the funding agreements and identified potential program improvements for any future rollout of the program.
