Client: City of Newcastle
The City of Newcastle Community Planning and Development (CP&D) team has recently been established and is reviewing its role, function, and strategic priorities to best support projects and to deliver services for the organisation. The aim is to ensure that the team is investing in projects that best match their skills and expertise and are within the team’s scope of work.
Nexus was invited to facilitate two half-day workshops with CP&D staff to help the team clarify its roles and medium-term priorities. These workshops were informed by an online survey with CP&D staff, as well as consultations with wider Council stakeholders to obtain their views on the understood role of CP&D.
Following the workshops, Nexus developed the draft of a statement on the role of the Community Planning and Development team, including a proposed communications strategy to inform internal and external stakeholders about the team’s role, functions and priorities.
