Client: ASHM
ASHM is a peak body which represents health professionals in the field of HIV, viral hepatitis, other blood borne viruses and sexually transmissible infections in Australia and New Zealand. ASHM aims to provide leadership in the field to deliver workforce education, clinical guidance, digital resources and, policy and advocacy activities.
As a condition of their funding from the commonwealth, ASHM is required to have an independent evaluation of their operations. Nexus has been engaged to review the effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness of ASHM’s current work, examine the sustainability of their activities, review the current leadership and coordination capabilities of the NGO, and provide strategic recommendations on the gaps, barriers and opportunities for a strengthened national response to shape future programming.
The project will involve a series of structured interviews with ASHM staff and external stakeholders, and the evaluation will be informed by input from ASHM, with a steering committee established to oversee the process.
